Skin peels in general are an effective way to remove facial wrinkles, reports Dr. O'Neil, who says he developed the OSR to tighten the skin more than in a routine peel, offering superior improvement in deep lines and wrinkles. "It also tightens the skin of the cheeks, eyelids and forehead," Dr. O'Neil points out, "providing some overlap with surgical results."

An OSR differs from a conventional peel in the three Ps of preparation, procedure and post-op. Dr. O'Neil explains, "In contrast to a single-stage, five minute quick-prep, we implement a four-stage process that takes 30 minutes. It removes impediments and enables better and more even penetration of the rejuvenating formula, which is much milder than that used in typical peels. It results in a finer quality of skin, more natural in texture and tone. It is a safer, gentler, longer-lasting way to remove wrinkles."

Extensive photo albums of past patients show dramatic results of deep wrinkle removal and erasure of age spots.  Live models and a referral list confirm the same.  Many of the patients have had previous laser peels or other skin resurfacing treatments, but claim they were unable to obtain the remarkable results of OSR.

Instead of sending the patient home to recover from the deep peel, Dr. O'Neil has packaged the program to include a recuperative ten-day stay at his O'Neil Retreat (see sidebar). Here, patients are fed a special diet designed to promote healing and cell growth while being administered to by an enthusiastic cadre of staff. It all takes place in an out-of-this-world peaceful setting imbued with a marvelous holistic ambience that lingers on long after the recovery process is complete.
